Join us Friday, September 6th @ 6pm for a special First Friday event with Jack Neely and the Knoxville History Project: The Mysteries of Union Ave.
If you've ever been on a Jack Neely walking tour, you know there's a wealth of history waiting around every corner in Downtown Knoxville. Come and discover the mysteries particular to our very own Union Avenue. In a mere hundred meters of street you'll learn why Ernie Pyle, the last living slave of a U.S. president, le Corbusier, Jean Paul Sartre, Swiss novelist Annemarie Schwarzenbach, and a legendary character known as Webfoot Watts strolled past or into the Daylight building. Take a trip back in time and a jaunt down Union Ave.
This First Friday event will also serve as a fundraiser for the Knoxville History Project. 20% of the proceeds from the evenings sales will go to benefit their various projects.
