Daniel K. Appelquist is an independent technology consultant specializing in content management and e-business strategy. While at TheStreet.com, he built a content management solution using XML and SQL and then went on to be CTO for TheStreet.co.uk. At E-Doc, he built SGML-based solutions for publishers such as John Wiley & Sons and Macmillan Press to put journals such as Cancer and Nature online. He has spoken at Seybold, Xtech, and other events, and has been active on the Advisory Committee of the W3C and in the Open Group's Mobile Management Forum.
