Elspeth Allen is a native-born resident of California's "City of Angels." After completing her teaching credential, she explored the middle schools of the inner city in the guise of substitute teacher. These days, she divides her time between writing, chasing after her two preschoolers (as great an adventure as anything Tolkien ever wrote about), and playing epic board games with her husband, Chris.
