Hill Texas Artisans & Artists Archive. Her most recent book is Texas Houses Built by the Book: The Use of Published Designs, 1850–1925. ELLEN BEASLEY is a preservationist and historian whose publications include The Alleys and Back Buildings of Galveston: An Architectural and Social History. She is also the coauthor of the Galveston Architecture Guidebook.
