The book contains the original, color illustrations and woodcut designs by John Leech that were commissioned by Dickens himself for the first edition, as well as a reproduction of the front manuscript page with Dickens' handwritten holiday note. The book has gold gilted edges, an embossed cover with gold-foil lettering, and includes as introduction by G.K. Chesterton and a preface by B.W. Matz, the founder of the famed Dickens Fellowship.
