Description

William Wagner suffers a series of family tragedies as a child and must learn to navigate through life on his own. Many of life's basic challenges test Will's ability to succeed and he is relegated to surviving the abuse that comprises his existence. He must live with a family who despises him, friendless, hopeless, alone. While struggling against the odds, Will makes enough good decisions to earn the loyalty of friends and a family who love and support him through his many mistakes and their poor consequences. Will excels in school and works hard to prepare himself physically and financially for his future. In college he finds love as Will tries to move away from his past and create a future for himself and his romantic partner. Before and after graduation from college, Will's life is shaken as traumatic events, several his own doing, work to destroy what little Will has made his own. He loses everything, is on the verge of breaking, when a miracle occurs, and Will is finally able to forgive himself for his mistakes, which allows him to forgive others for theirs. Forgiveness found, Will is able to rejoin the human race and rebuild the broken pieces of his life. Once his support system is reestablished, Will and his friends are able to attack life's injustices, right many wrongs in the world, including the tragedies which Will had been subjected to. A murder mystery leads Will and his friends on a journey to locate lost treasure, recover the victims, and bring justice to the transgressor. Symbolism and imagery abound throughout the tale, Will's family the seven sins, his friends and inherited family the seven virtues, and many of the scenes representative of the challenges ordinary people face throughout their lives. After forgiveness and justice, Will finds another miracle, the most important part of life, the one path to salvation for a beleaguered people, and is rewarded with paradise on Earth and eternal glory ever after.
