Our emotions play an integral role in who we are as human beings, and they are along for the ride. However, that doesn't mean emotions always listen to logic or follow our lead. When our emotions become loud and chaotic, it's helpful to remind ourselves that we are sitting in the driver's seat of our bus of emotions. We can take back control, and mindfulness techniques, such as deep breathing, can help us do this.
